On Wednesday, Feb. 29, Price Chopper will open its new Belton store at the northeast corner of M-58 Highway and State Route Y. Price Chopper will close its current Belton store, located at 1833 E. North Ave., on Monday, Feb. 27 at the end of the business day, which is midnight.
The new 68,000 square foot store, owned by the Cosentino family, will anchor The Crossroads at Belton, a 17-acre shopping center. Construction crews broke ground on the store in April 2011, and it will open with a 7:30 a.m. ribbon cutting Feb. 29.
Since 1948 we have served the Kansas City area, and are thrilled to bring a new state-of-the-art Price Chopper to the city of Belton, said John Cosentino, executive vice president, Cosentinos Food Stores. An invitation-only tour of the store and reception for local community and business leaders will be held on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28.
