Why are you seeking this position? I am seeking the position of alderman because I feel I have the public service and leadership skills and experience necessary to help our community reach its maximum potential. It is my intent to actively and persistently help to accomplish the goals listed in the city’s comprehensive plan of operation and development.

What, in your opinion, are the most important issues facing the office you are seeking? It is my opinion (as well as the state opinions of many other local citizens) that among the priority issues facing our community are the need for effective law enforcement and community development. These issues are related. Business, industries and others who might consider locating to our community must feel confident that our police department is operating and utilizing available resources in such a way as to make our community as safe as possible.

If elected, what are your plans to address those issues? I will seek a complete review of current police department practices and procedures. Strengths will be noted and areas in need of improvement must be addressed. In regards to economic development, and all development, I will work to make sure our local government is taking a focused, consistent and proactive, versus reactive, lead in pursuing new types of businesses and industries. Public satisfaction and additional tax base should help with enhancing law enforcement and other services.
