Cass County Farmers Markets open
The Harrisonville Farmers Market began May 5, and will run every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting in late May, the Wednesday market will begin from 3 to 6 p.m. The Farmer’s Market is in the parking lot of Mill-Walk Mall at the intersection of U.S. 71 and 291 Highways. Peculiar Farmers Market is from 8 a.m. to noon (or sell-out) beginning Saturday, May 19, through Saturday, Oct. 27. The location is behind the Peculiar Lions Club Community Building on Shug Avenue in Peculiar. This area is visible from both 71 and J Highways. For more information, visit http://peculiarmarket.com/.
Raymore’s Original Town Farmers Market will be from 4 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday from June 5 through October. It is located along the 200 block of South Washington Street (behind the First Baptist Church), with area growers and artisans offering locally produced foods, crafts and plants.
