Cass County has hired an attorney to help the county move forward with broadband development.
Cass County Commissioners approved the legal service agreement with Newman, Cromley and Ruth PC of Jefferson City during the Aug. 13 meeting, to help oversee project.
Commissioners also approved two zoning applications during the meeting.
George Smith requested a conceptual and Special Use Permit for an indoor shooting range on property that is already being used for an outdoor shooting range.
Chris Kurzweil also requested a conceptual and Special Use Permit for a business sign.
Wilson also announced plans that the county’s assessor and collector offices are moving from their annex location off of the Square to the Mill Walk Mall due to an overcrowding issue.
The offices will use reserved funds from the state to pay on the lease of the space.
