Harrisonville students participate in health screenings

October 5, 2012

Students throughout the Harrisonville School District participated in health fairs Sept. 17-21. District nurses coordinated the events which included numerous screenings such as vision, hearing, dental, height, weight, and blood pressure.

Assisting with the health fairs were Practical Nursing students from Cass Career Center. Cass Regional Medical Center provided equipment and screening forms.

Parents received a copy of the health fair form and district nurses will conduct any additional screenings as needed.

Students in grades kindergarten, first, third, fifth, seventh, ninth, and eleventh participated. Fifth and seventh grade girls and seventh grade boys also had scoliosis screenings.
