Pleasant Hill is taking three golfers to the sectional tournament.
The Chicks took third place with a team score of 452 at the Class 1, District 3 tournament Oct. 1 at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs.
Heading to the sectional match Monday, Oct. 8 at Frank E. Peters Country Club, Nevada, are Mackenzie Powell who placed 15th with a score of 108, Jamie Brookshier who took 17th with a score of 110 and Kristin Orpin who finished 19th with a score of 111.
“I feel bad for Abbie (Brown), who played varsity all year and was not able to play today due to her injury,” Pleasant Hill head coach Eric Bloom said. “For being as new to the sport as they are, they shot a great team score.”
Powell was named a medalist and to the all-district team.
Other golfers competing at districts were Olivia Woodruff with a 25th place score of 123 and Tiffany Butler with a 37th place score of 145.
Both Belton and Raymore-Peculiar competed at the Class 2, District 6 tournament Oct. 1 at Carthage Golf Course.
Raymore-Peculiar is sending two golfers to the sectional tournament slated for Monday, Oct. 8 at Sedalia Country Club. Sophia Sadaro finished third with a score of 82 and Brenna Dougherty took 14th with a score of 95.
Other Panther golfers that did not qualify were Emily Wescoat who tied for 27th with a score of 107 and Shelly McClendon who tied for 33rd with a score of 110.
Belton had one golfer qualify for the sectional tournament. Rachel Hoffman took 15th with a score of 96. Other golfers competing were Gabby Probert in 27th with a score of 107, Katie Phillips in 33rd with a score of 110, Sarah Martin in 35th with a score of 111 and Kiera Green in 38th with a score of 113.
