We may have played our best football game last week, but we made some errors toward the end of the game that hurt us...We just have to learn how to close them out. Hopefully that’s a step we will have learned from last week.”

RAYMORE-PECULIAR
Last game: 40-20 non-conference loss to Lee’s Summit West
Record: 5-2 (2-1 conference)
Tonight’s game: Away at Blue Springs, 7 p.m. Blue Springs defeated Blue Springs South 35-14 in last week’s game and has a 6-1 record.
Comments: “Blue Springs is a very good football team who’s only loss was to Lee’s Summit West in overtime earlier in the year. They have played a very tough schedule and this will be a tough game for us. We are going to have to play much better defensively and we are going to have to find a way to score offensively against a team only giving up about 10 points a game. We can work ourselves back into the conference race with a win and this would set us up very nicely in the district seeding as well.”
– Raymore-Peculiar head coach Tom Kruse

SHERWOOD

Record: 3-4 (1-2 conference)
Tonight’s game: Away at Adrian, 7 p.m.
Comments: “Adrian is always a well-coached and hard-nosed team. This is a must-win for us as far as district seedings go. If we want to host a week 10 game, we’ll need to go out and take care of business this week.”
– Sherwood head coach Jim Gurney
