Willia Kenagy

Willia Kenagy, 102, of Raymore, celebrated her birthday Oct. 23 with family and friends at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore.

Kenagy, born in 1910 in Gunn City, was honored during a special noontime dinner at Foxwood, where she has lived for 34 years.

Kenagy, the fourth child of Tommy and Nellie Dean, had nine brothers and sisters. Jessee Dean and Bearl Dean, both younger brothers, also are residents of Foxwood and are the only living siblings.

Kenagy has lived most of her 102 years in Cass County. She and her late husband William moved to Foxwood in January 1978 and were the first residents.

The Kenagys had two sons, Bill, now deceased, and Bob, of Ozark. Her family includes five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a multitude of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
