Kindergarten students and teachers at the Harrisonville Early Childhood Center were honored at a recent assembly.

To begin the assembly, kindergarten students recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Each month Super Citizen awards are presented to students who exemplify the character trait of the month. October’s character trait was responsibility. The students received a certificate, an Applebee’s gift certificate, and a Super Citizen T-shirt.

In addition to the Super Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.

Students were also recognized for Perfect Attendance for first quarter and those honorees were Jason Callahan, Roberto Chavez, Anthony Coffelt, Audrey Coffey, Emma Coffey, Hunter Cooper, Janna Everhart, Jayden Hornbach, Isabell Roepke, Blake Thornburg, Isabelle Shelton, Dominick Meade, Zane Helt and Emily Beck.

Entertainment at the assembly was provided by Heather Caldwell’s class who performed songs and poems about pumpkins.
