Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for October. Seniors Bryant Kanies and Emily Hix were selected by the faculty to receive this honor. </p><p>Kanies is the son of Tim and Pam Kanies</p><p>His school activities include football, basketball, baseball, robotics, and National Honor Society.</p><p>Outside of school, he is involved in the First Baptist Church youth group and Boy Scout Troop 100.</p><p>His hobbies include playing sports and video game, hunting, fishing, and enjoying his free time.</p><p>After high school, Kanies plans to attend the University of Missouri S&T and major in nuclear engineering.</p><p>Hix is the daughter of Dave and Carol Hix.</p><p>Her school activities include Freshman Mentoring, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FFA, and softball.</p><p>Hix serves as president of Freshman Mentoring and secretary of the Cass Career Center chapter of FFA.</p><p>She enjoys shopping, running, watching football, and hunting.</p><p>Hix&#x2019;s plans after high school include attending Missouri State University to study pre-veterinary medicine.</p><p>The HHS Students of the Month are selected on the basis of character, citizenship, and academics.
