Clay Potters Garden Club

Clay Potters Garden Club met Nov. 12 at the home of Doug and Judy Manning with 12 members and one guest, Janet Gregg, present.

Club president opened the meeting by leading in the pledge to the flag. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Debbie Lehman gave the treasurer’s report.

Patty Weaver reported on the several plants that she has added to the Butterfly Garden at the park entrance and how nice it looks.

W.C.D. meeting was at Powell Gardens on Nov. 17. Jeanette Bartles gave the recycle tip of the evening on several ways to recycle used pill bottles. The program of the evening was given by Judy Manning on “Mary’s Gardens.” She told the history and gave several examples and pictures of the many legends of these very diverse religious or meditation gardens.

Our next meeting will be Monday, Dec. 10, at the home of David and Deb Jensen for our Christmas Party. Members are reminded to bring an ornament to exchange, gifts for the “senior shut-ins,” as well as a dish to share in our potluck meal.
