“The finals on Saturday capped off a three-day run of competition for us,” Pleasant Hill head coach Jeff Wyatt said. “I like having our schedule have a three-day series so the guys can get a feel for making weight and competing three days in a row, just like state. However, it is a lot of late nights, early mornings and tough competition, but the guys competed very well.”
The Roosters were led in the tournament by Delainey Taala at 285 pounds with a championship title, winning the first place match with a 9-5 decision over Carrollton’s Gage Boggs.
