A Belton convenience store sold a lucky Missouri Lottery ticket worth $62,807 earlier this month.</p><p>The winner, Jessica Long of Grandview, purchased the winning Missouri Lottery Club Keno ticket at Casey&#x2019;s General Store, 6909 E. 163rd St., Belton, on Jan. 12.</p><p>According to the Missouri Lottery, which announced the winning Jan. 23, Long purchased a 10-Spot ticket with Double Bulls-Eye. She matched nine out of 10 spots in a drawing shortly thereafter to win $62,500, and other games on the multi-draw ticket added an additional $307 in prizes.</p><p>&#x201C;My father-in-law got into a car accident, and we went up to check on him,&#x201D; Long told the lottery. &#x201C;While we were up there, me and my husband, we decided to buy a lottery ticket. Well, when I walked in, I decided to play Keno, and I had never played it before.&#x201D;</p><p>Club Keno is a daily draw game with drawings every four minutes. Players choose how many numbers, also called &#x201C;spots,&#x201D; to play and win prizes based on the number of matches. By adding Bulls-Eye and Double Bulls-Eye to the ticket, players can win even larger prizes.</p><p>Long reportedly answered questions from the clerk, but she was still a little confused about how to play. She ended up with ticket that was more expensive than she had originally planned, but she decided to stick with the purchase.</p><p>&#x201C;I didn&#x2019;t want to back out of it, because I figured if I did, it would be a winner. So I bought it,&#x201D; she said.</p><p>Long claimed the winning ticket at the Kansas City Lottery office on Jan. 14.</p><p>Long credited the win to doing something &#x201C;out of the ordinary,&#x201D; and was inspired by the player in front of her, who was playing Club Keno.</p><p>&#x201C;My husband suggested that I should buy a lottery ticket,&#x201D; she said. &#x201C;We say that when something bad happens, something good should happen. And I won.&#x201D;</p><p>Long said she would use the winnings to pay down their house, and she plans to spend a little on her three children.
