HHS honors January students
Harrisonville High School has chosen seniors David Roth and Taylor Spencer as the Students of the Month for January.
Roth is the son of Doug and Carol Roth.
His school activities include show choir, band, National Honor Society, Freshman Mentoring, Academic Club and drama. He’s been a part of the cast for six high school productions.
He is a section leader in band and choir and was named to the All-State Choir and All-District Band.
His hobbies include playing trombone, singing and playing video games.
After high school, Roth plans to attend either Northwest Missouri State University or the University of Missouri and major in music education.
Spencer is the daughter of Tom and Kim Spencer.
Her school activities include swimming, soccer, volleyball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Science Club, National Honor Society and Student Council.
She is the vice president of the senior class, secretary of NHS, president of Science Club and on the leadership team for FCA. Spencer is also a state qualifier in swimming.
Outside of school, she is involved in the Cornerstone Community Church Youth Group.
She enjoys swimming, sketching and watching 80’s flicks.
Spencer plans to attend a four-year university to major in either biology with an emphasis in genetics or graphic design.
The HHS Students of the Month are selected on the basis of character, citizenship and academics.
