Harrisonville High School has chosen seniors David Roth and Taylor Spencer as the Students of the Month for January. </p><p>Roth is the son of Doug and Carol Roth.</p><p>His school activities include show choir, band, National Honor Society, Freshman Mentoring, Academic Club and drama. He&#x2019;s been a part of the cast for six high school productions.</p><p>He is a section leader in band and choir and was named to the All-State Choir and All-District Band.</p><p>His hobbies include playing trombone, singing and playing video games.</p><p>After high school, Roth plans to attend either Northwest Missouri State University or the University of Missouri and major in music education.</p><p>Spencer is the daughter of Tom and Kim Spencer.</p><p>Her school activities include swimming, soccer, volleyball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Science Club, National Honor Society and Student Council.</p><p>She is the vice president of the senior class, secretary of NHS, president of Science Club and on the leadership team for FCA. Spencer is also a state qualifier in swimming.</p><p>Outside of school, she is involved in the Cornerstone Community Church Youth Group. </p><p>She enjoys swimming, sketching and watching 80&#x2019;s flicks.</p><p>Spencer plans to attend a four-year university to major in either biology with an emphasis in genetics or graphic design.</p><p>The HHS Students of the Month are selected on the basis of character, citizenship and academics.
