Past or present community service/public office: Served on the Planning and Zoning Committee, five; Currently Mayor Pro Tem.
Why do you wish to serve your community on the Board of Aldermen?: My several years on the BOA have been educational, rewarding and challenging. I am currently serving as Mayor Pro Tem, a position that should be filled by someone who has had considerable experience on the City Council.
What qualifications/leadership do you feel that you can bring to your community?: I have conducted the internal audit of city fiscal operations several times; assisted in the preparation of the city budget on multiple occasions; represented the city at quarterly Missouri Municipal League meetings; successfully completed three courses with the FEMA Emergency Management Institute making the city eligible to receive grant funds; and participated in town hall meetings for the general obligation bonds for street, storm water and sewer maintenance.
What would be your top priorities for the community you would serve, if elected?: In my next term, I will continue to be a good custodian of our funds and to maintain the safety and beauty of our community. I take my responsibilities very seriously and will work to serve all residents of the city to the best of my ability.
