Harrisonville High School has named seniors Chris Roth and Kailey Huston as the Students of the Month for March.
Roth is the son of Doug and Carol Roth.
His school activities include band, Music Makers, National Honor Society, Freshman Mentoring, tennis, winter percussion, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, scholar bowl and brass choir.
He is a section leader in marching band and the varsity captain of the scholar bowl team.
His hobbies include playing guitar and spending time with his girlfriend.
After high school, Roth plans to attend either the University of Missouri or the University of Central Missouri to major in vocal music education.
Huston is the daughter of Bob and Jodie Huston
Her school activities include Music Makers, symphonic band, jazz band, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Freshman Mentoring, National Honor Society, Student Council, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and swim team.
She is a DARE role model, the Royal Regiment drum major, FCA leadership team member, a section leader in Music Makers, a rank leader in marching band, a member of the Freshman Mentoring Executive Board, NHS Project Chairman, FCCLA Treasurer and Student Council treasurer.
Outside of school, she is involved in youth group and praise team at her church.
She enjoys shopping, spending time with family and friends, camping and boating.
Huston plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University.
The HHS Students of the Month are selected on the basis of character, citizenship and academics.
