May 31, 2013

The 2013 Kansas vs. Missouri high school football all star game marks the 22nd consecutive year the two teams have met.

The game, hosted by the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association, will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13 at Lee’s Summit North High School Stadium.

“We are excited to have the Lee’s Summit School District host the game this season,” GKCFCA President and Pleasant Hill High School Head Coach Kyle Roach said. “We have had tremendous support from high school football fans over the years and with this year’s game to be hosted by a school district that is known for its passion for high school football like Lee’s Summit, is fantastic. We expect another outstanding event this year.”

The Kansas squad will be coached by St. Thomas Aquinas Head Coach Mike Thomas. The Missouri squad will be headed by Ryan Schartz of Fort Osage and includes Harrisonville defensive back Walter Eastwood and Raymore-Peculiar defensive end Dylan Doss.

Kansas leads the all-time series 11-9, with one rain out. Missouri won last year’s game 19-7 played at Blue Valley High School. Practices begin Monday, June 3. The Missouri squad will practice at Lee’s Summit North High School.
