The Mary Sibley Chapter of NSDAR

The Mary Sibley Chapter of NSDAR met May 18 at Cass Regional Medical Center with 13 members and five guests present. Marilyn Moreland opened the meeting with the ritual and pledge to the flag.

The usual reports from the committees were given.

Lorene Wilson presented our DAR Scholarship winner, Stefani Simms. There were 17 applicants from seven schools. The theme of the competition was An Historical Event in Cass County from 1700-1800.

Tricia Hazelrigg presented a new project with findagrave.com. We were reminded of the June Tour to visit the Brace House. The Midwest District meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 19, at Truman Memorial Building, Independence. We will leave at 9 a.m. Flag Day at Roslyn Heights was June 8.

The program was presented by Linda F., Administrator of Life Choice Center. The next meeting will be in June.
