Jean Carol Franse

July 2, 1948 - July 8, 2013

Jean Carol Franse, 65, of Memphis, Tenn., was born July 2, 1948 in Jackson County, the daughter of Elmer R. and Shirley E. (Hancox) Loucks. She died Monday, July 8, 2013, at her home in Memphis.

Funeral services were July 18 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Burial was in Freeman Cemetery.

Marian Eileen Griffith

Dec. 10, 1937 - July 15, 2013

Marian “Eileen” Griffith, 75, of Adrian, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. Eileen was born in Greenwood, the daughter of Robert Glenn and Mary Maria (Kennedy) Hamilton.

Funeral services were July 19 at Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.

Donald Ray Cameron

Oct. 26, 1937 - July 16, 2013

Donald Ray Cameron, 75, of Archie, was born Oct. 26, 1937, in Amoret, the son of Roscoe and Nina Opal (Lawrence) Cameron. He died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City.

He was united in marriage to Gayla Faye Barnard on Sept. 3, 1960, at Austin Baptist Church, Austin.

Donald was a dairy farmer until his retirement 1997. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Archie. Donald enjoyed playing cards, listening to blue grass music, watching NASCAR racing, attending tractor pulls and spending time with his family and friends. He grew up in Amsterdam, before moving to the Austin Community near Archie in the early ‘60s.

Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Gayla on Sept. 19, 2006; his son, Shane on Oct. 15, 2010; a brother, Lloyd Cameron and his sister, Pat Jones.

Donald is survived by two sons, Dale Cameron and wife, Vicky and Danny R. Cameron, all of Archie; daughter-in-law, Terri Horn-Cameron, Harrisonville; five grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Alexa, Eliza and Sydney; a brother, Lawrence Cameron, Amoret; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral service were at 11 a.m. July 20 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with interment in Austin Cemetery near Archie.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Randall Eugene Ashley

May 26, 1957 - July 17, 2013

Randall “Randy” Eugene Ashley, of Freeman, died at his home Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

Randy was born May 26, 1957, to Calvin Eugene Ashley and Beulah Darlene “Tschabrun” Ashley, of Clinton.

He worked most of his life for Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). Besides his family, his greatest love was fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Ashley (Jessica) of Kansas City, Kan., and Eric Ashley (Melissa), of Pleasant Hill; a sister, Patti Culver (Randy) of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, John Ashley, of Kansas City; a step-mother, Ruth Ashley, of Clinton; a grandson, Calvin Eugene Ashley, of Pleasant Hill; several aunts and uncles; and a host of friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

There was a memorial service conducted at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton, at 10 a.m. July 23. An inurnment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to MO Conservation Heritage Foundation and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.

Marianne Seelinger

June 28, 1947 - July 17, 2013

Marianne Seelinger, 66, of Pleasant Hill, was the daughter of Clarence and Anna Blanche Beasley Veach. She died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at the funeral home. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Leroy Bennett Ewing 83, of Urich, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, under the care of Continua Hospice and the staff at Carnegie Village in Belton. Lee was born south of Urich, one of 13 children of James and Lillian Ewing.

Funeral services were July 22 at First Christian Church Urich, with burial in Mullin Cemetery, Urich.

Robert Lester Gardisky was born July 30, 1936, in Antigo, Wis. He died Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Phyllis Irene (Henderson) Ewing, 62, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her home in Pleasant Hill. She was the daughter of David William and Mildred Irene (Bagley) Henderson.
