Thomas graduates from MNU

July 26, 2013

Caitlin Thomas, a graduate of Drexel High School, received a bachelor of science degree from Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan.

Thomas successfully completed the requirements for the degree in the field of nursing. She also has passed the Kansas State Board of Nursing examination and is now an officially licensed registered nurse. The 42nd annual commencement ceremony was held May 12, at the College Church of the Nazarene on the grounds of MNU.

On May 11, Thomas and her nursing department classmates took part in the annual pinning ceremony. The ceremony is specifically for nursing department graduates, where each is presented with a dated “pin” recognizing their beginning of a nursing career. The program featured speakers from the nursing department and the presentation of awards for the top students. Thomas received one of the four awards given. Her recognition was for “professional development.”

Thomas is the daughter of Pat and Trudy Thomas of Harrisonville.
