Catch the Spirit slated for Sept. 28

The community is invited to participate in the annual Catch the Spirit 5K Walk/Run Saturday, Sept. 28. The event will benefit the Harrisonville Public School Foundation and the Christina Collins Memorial scholarship.

The event will feature a 5K which begins and ends at Harrisonville High School. Registration for the 5K is $20 and the pre-registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 13. However, participants may register up to the day of the race for an additional $5 per person. All pre-registrants will receive a race T-shirt

Again this year, any school district group, organization, or classroom that gets 10 or more registrants will receive a $100 mini-grant from the Foundation.

Prizes will be awarded the top male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female runners in four age categories.

Registration forms are available online at www.harrisonvilleschools.org/foundation5k or at the Harrisonville Schools Administrative Offices, 503 S. Lexington.

Race-day registration begins at 7:15 a.m. The 5K begins at 8 a.m.
