Pleasant Hill girls finish second at invite

The Pleasant Hill girls’ cross country team took second place in the Midway 2-Mile with a team score of 45 points.

The Chicks finished behind Lutheran in first with a team score of 31 points.

Pleasant Hill was led by Courtney Bakken in third with a time of 13:05. Lauren Larkins placed sixth with a time of 13:54, Emma Moore finished 19th with a time of 15:08, Marky Roach took 22nd with a time of 15:35, Hannah Beachner placed 25th with a time of 16:04, Kylie Heublein took 28th with a time of 16:09, Haleigh Rottinghaus finished 38th with a time of 18:10 and Anderson Fields placed 40th with a time of 19:21.

Drexel had three girls compete in the meet. Sarah Cawby placed fourth with a time of 13:37, Tayler Lancaster took seventh with a time of 14:16 and Alyssa Sosa took 11th with a time of 14:40.

Midway also participated in the meet, but did not have enough girls for a team score. Terri Pierce took eighth with a time of 14:33, Taylor Pierce finished 10th with a time of 14:38 and Dee Stark took 14th with a time of 14:53.

Harrisonville’s Zoe Woodling placed 31st with a time of 16:46 and Madison Phillips placed 32nd with a time of 36:49.

The Pleasant Hill boys took fourth out of eight teams with a score of 113 points.

The Roosters were led by Garrett Bakken in 15th with a time of 12:07 and Christian Richardson in 16th with a time of 12:18. Ryan Boland placed 25th with a time of 12:30, Jacob Watson took 29th with a time of 12:42, Blake Beagle placed 31st with a time of 12:43, Joseph Madison finished 35th with a time of 12:54 and Johnny Romer took 37th with a time of 12:56.

The Drexel boys placed seventh with a team score of 174 points.

Drew Collins led the Bobcats in 10th with a time of 12:24, followed by Trevor Gunnels in 31st with a time of 12:44, Lincoln Williams in 36th with a time of 12:55, Chandler Eastwood in 38th with a time of 12:57 and Hayden Parks in 55th with a time of 13:41.

Midway’s Jackson Eberle placed 27th with a time of 12:40, Fisher Mayfield took 60th with a time of 14:08 and Erik Nance finished 62nd with a time of 14:19.

Harrisonville’s Jose Barnett took 47th with a time of 13:14.
