HHS to host homecoming next week

September 20, 2013

Harrisonville High School Homecoming 2013 activities will be taking place the week of Sept. 23-27. The theme for this year’s event is “Battle of the Beasts.”

Students throughout the district will participate in spirit week activities and all Harrisonville residents and businesses are invited to participate in Blue & White Day on Friday.

The community is invited to the annual city-wide pep rally at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at Memorial Stadium. Prior to the rally, the community is invited to support the softball and volleyball teams as they host Pleasant Hill at home.

Softball begins at 4:30 p.m. with varsity and volleyball begins at 5 p.m. with C team. Both events are at HHS.

The city-wide rally will include performances by the Royal Regiment, cheerleaders, and dance team as well as introductions of the fall sports’ teams and homecoming candidates. Following the rally, Senior Mania will host the annual jersey auction.

The HHS Art Club is offering local businesses the opportunity to have their windows decorated for Homecoming. Images will consist of lettering, football images, Wildcats, or even your business logo. This does not include washing the windows afterward. They are asking for a minimum donation of $20. Contact sponsor Melissa Chaney at Melissa.chaney@harrisonvilleschools.org or 816-380-3273, ext. 6824.
