BHS Homecoming this week

Belton High School celebrated Homecoming Week Sept. 30-Oct. 4.

BHS students and staff were encouraged dress up for the following spirit days: Monday - My Parents Closet; Tuesday - Twin Day; Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday; Thursday - Throwback PIRATE Thursday; and Friday - Class Shirts /Purple and Gold Day.

A Homecoming assembly will be held at Joe Maurer Stadium at 1:45 p.m. Friday with the varisty football game against William Chrisman at 7 p.m. at Southwick Stadium. The crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen will take place at halftime of the football game.

The candidates for homecoming royalty are: seniors – AJ Goffoy, Noah Green, Kaeko Ishikawa, Lexi Johnson, Becca Kasper, Olivia Ledford, Haley McConville, Travis Norman, Jackson Porter, Haley Scharrer, Taylor Trapp and Jason Weinzierl; juniors – Bree Bishop, Tahnee Cooper, Josh Hicks, Matt Lind, Madison Staats and Johnny Vazquez; sophomores – Caitlyn Stegner and Zach Willis; and freshman – Ashton Bennett and Caleb Hodge.

The dance will be held from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 in the BHS upper gym. Homecoming dance tickets are on sale until Friday, Oct. 4. The price is $8 each or two for $15 in advance or $10 per person at the door.
