Annual Wildcat silent auction next weekend

The Harrisonville Wildcats and Lady Wildcats basketball teams will be hosting the eighth annual Alumni Game/Silent Auction starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

The event is open to the public, as the silent auction runs from 5-9 p.m.

Several restaurants have donated to the auction, including five gourmet subs from Jimmy John’s ($25 value), two meal combos from Best Burrito ($20), two large three-topping pizzas from Mazzio’s Pizza ($35), two gift certifcates from Diamond Ray’s ($55), two gift cards from Branding Iron ($20 each), 25 crunchy tacos from Taco Bell ($25), a gift basket from Papa Murphy’s ($50), four gift cards from 54th Street Grill and Bar ($20 each) and an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen ($27).

Troy’s Custom Framing donated several memorabilia items, including a Derrick Rose framed jersey ($500), Duane Bowe framed jersey ($500), Kyrie Irving 11x14 autographed picture ($150), Jeremy Maclin 8x10 autographed picture ($150), Peyton Manning 8x10 autographed picture ($150), Eric Berry 8x10 autographed University of Tennessee picture ($125), Phil Pressey 8x10 autographed University of Missouri picture ($125), Ben McClemore 8x10 autographed University of Kansas picture ($125), Salvador Perez 8x10 autographed picture ($150), Allen Craig 8x10 St. Louis Cardinals picture ($125), Michael Jordan North Carolina game-winner ($100) and Blake Griffin All-Star game card ($100).

Harrisonville High School athletes also donated items, such as an autographed softball from the 2013 Lady Wildcats team (priceless), an autographed basketball from the 2013 Wildcats team (priceless), an autographed basketball from the 2013 Lady Wildcats team (priceless), Wildcats basketball 16x16 conference champions picture ($75), Wildcats 16x20 framed 2012-13 poster ($60), autographed soccer ball from the 2013 Wildcats team (priceless), two Wildcat discount cards ($20 each), Dri-Fit Wildcat shirts in sizes small, medium, large, X-large, XX-large, XXX-large and XXXX-large ($20 each) and a Jordan travel suit in X-large ($100). Plus, Harrisonville High School also donated two season family passes for 2013-14 ($110 each).

Tri-Lakes Shootout donated an Eric Hosmer framed jersey and picture ($500), five XXL 2013 Final Four shirts ($60) and a tote bag with shirt and shorts in small, medium, large and X-large ($40 each). Siege Sports donated two Wilson Solution basketballs ($60 each) and coach Frankie Jackson is donating four hours of private basketball lessons ($60 for two hours). Both Doug Mercer and Bryan Mercer are donating apparel and Deucebrand is donating a University of Kansas Jayhawks large watch ($30), an Oklahoma City Thunder large watch ($30), a medium Los Angeles Lakers watch ($30) and a medium Chicago Bulls watch ($30).

Other donations include: two one-year subscriptions to the Cass County Democrat Missourian, one pass to Skills camp at Lake of the Ozarks Aug. 1-3 from D1 Experience ($349), one competitive drill shooting book from Pure Sweat Basketball ($30), one Branson vacation package from Gatherings Plus ($375), two Christmas wreaths from Harrisonville NETT ($20 each), a four -hour ride-a-long and one hour shooting range for 100 rounds with Harrisonville Plice Department ($100, must be 18), watch and two scarves from Brenda Foerschler ($40), scarf pendant and stretch bracelet from Silver Sensations ($20), purse from Grace Adele ($25), dog toys from Paige Booth ($30), two-night hotel stay at Ameristar ($289), five hours of DJ from Moodaddy DJ ($350), gift basket from Family Video ($20), gift basket from Mary Kay by Marcia ($150), gift card from Bret Brown, two umbrellas and two coffee mugs from Sherwood Bank ($20), dog food and dog bones from Southland Animal Hospital ($30), Wildcat basketball quilt from Dena Prindle ($100), Wildcat ladies bling shirt from Brenda Byrd ($50), blanket and other items from NASB ($40), two lawn treatments from BunDell Green ($80), basketball training system from Shadow Player Training System ($79), a large and X-large Russell Athletic sweatshirt from Nill Brothers ($50 each) and shampoo and conditioner from Noel’s Barber Shop ($30).

The alumni game festivities start at 7 p.m. with shooting contests. The alumni game will start at 7:45 p.m.

Any alumni who played basketball at Harrisonville High School are encouraged to attend.
