Sherwood Elementary Students have been involved in several activities as a service to others.

Sherwood students collected enough items for 23 Christmas boxes for Operation Christmas Child. These boxes are shipped to children that are from impoverished places, orphanages or for children affected by natural disasters.

Marta Stoneking’s second grade class is heading up two services projects. They are asking kindergarten, first and second grades to bring in new or gently used coats, hats and gloves for Hope Haven and third, fourth and fifth grades to bring in non-perishable food items for the food pantry at Heart of Life Church in Garden City.

Melody Siebeneck’s first grade class is making Thanksgiving decorations and cards to take to a local nursing home.
