O’Neal booked into county jail

The non-custodial mother who took her three Harrisonville children from their father’s home and fled the United States has been taken into custody after she was released from Canadian authorities.

Sherri O’Neal, 44, and her son from another relationship, Jacob Miers, 19, took the children from their home in the 26000 block of Skyline Drive in October.

Tabitha Davis, 11, Jasper Davis, 14, and Jordan Davis, 15, were found unharmed six days later in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with O’Neal and Miers in a motor-home in the city’s downtown core.

The children were returned to Harrisonville within a couple of weeks.

O’Neal was extradited from Toole County, Montana and arrived at the Cass County Jail Jan. 4.

She is charged with one count of interference with custody and is being held on a $30,000 bond. O’Neal is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 9.Miers was also brought back to the United States and was taken into custody in November. He is to appear in court Monday, Jan. 13.
