Civil War Roundtable

Civil War Roundup met Feb. 11 at Pearson Hall. Carol Bohl, president, presided. Bohl led the group in saying the pledge.

Bohl presented a program about her research into her great-great-grandfather’s experience being a member of the Mosby Rangers. John Singleton Mosby and the Rangers were very successful in their fight with the Union. The group was formed June 10, 1863, and was disbanded April 21, 1865. Mosby became a lawyer in Warrenton and died in 1916 and is buried in Warrenton, Va.

After a refreshment break, the president called the meeting to order.

The minutes were read and accepted from the January meeting

Cathy Gotsch and John Moloski volunteered to provide refreshment for the March meeting.

Program for the Tuesday, March 11, meeting will be provided by Bill Green on a Union soldier’s imprisonment in a Texas prison. Meeting adjourned.
