Harold Kennedy Feeback, 96, of Harrisonville, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Meadowview of Harrisonville Health and Rehabilitation in Harrisonville. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Meadow View of Harrisonville Care Center.

Harold was born Dec. 13, 1917, in East Lynne, the son of Mack and Lily Arbuckle (Kennedy) Feeback. He was a lifelong Cass County resident. Harold was a horse trainer by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Kent, Wash., and daughter, Necia Wainwright, Kent, Wash.

Loeda Irene Helmig

Loeda Irene Helmig, 76, of Lone Jack, was born in Hollywood, Calif., the daughter of Stephen and Izola Loeda (Snow) Marriott. She died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at her home.

Visitation was Feb. 13 and funeral services were Feb. 14 at the funeral home. Interment was in Lone Jack Cemetery.

Dakota Charles Jackson was born in Warrensburg and died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at his home in Pleasant Hill. He was the son of David Glenn and Rhonda Ann (Swofford) Jackson.

Funeral services for Dakota were Feb. 15 at Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Linda Gayle (Best) Knoll, 59, of Adrian, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at her home. Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Belton Assembly of God, Belton, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian. Burial was in Scott Cemetery, Amsterdam.

Linda was born in Mountain View, Ark.

Sylvia Alene Mapes, 84, of Spring Hill, Kan., died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. She was the best mom and grandmother in the world, who also was known as the cookie baker. Cremation. There was a family gathering Feb. 15. She is survived by her three sons, a daughter, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James Leroy French

James Leroy French, 76. of Harrisonville, was born in Kansas City. He died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at his home in Harrisonville.

He was an Army veteran from 1955 to 1962, being stationed in Hawaii.

There will be a Celebration Of Life Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

Betty L. Hatfield, 86, of Garden City, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at her home.

There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, March 1.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Hatfield, son Charles Dawkins, parents and siblings.

Survivors include her children Ilene Bain (Robert), of Edwards, William T. Dawkins, of Garden City, Robert E. Hatfield, of Independence, Kathleen Kagarice (Bruce), of Garden City, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Robert was born in Joplin. He is survived by his mother and one brother, both of Peculiar.
