CMH birthday-bash benefit

February 21, 2014

The community is invited to a family event to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. The Birthday Party for CMH will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Harrisonville Community Center. This is the sixth year for the event, which will feature a superhero theme.

The Birthday Party will include games and crafts for children, balloon animals, family pictures, a caricature artist, and ice cream and cake. During the event, adults will be able to learn more about the programs offered by Children’s Mercy Hospital, specifically the Child Life program and the opportunity to make a donation to it. Child Life’s purpose is to help the children who are spending time at CMH continue to be children. Child Life also provides education for both the child and family to help them feel more at ease with medical procedures. To make an online donation for the party, visit http://give.childrensmercy.org/birthdaybenefit.

The Birthday Party is free to all community members.

For additional information, join the Facebook fan page for the event at www.facebook.com/BirthdayPartyforCMH or call 816-738-1055.
