Harrisonville School District seeks nominations for end-of-year awards

March 7, 2014

The Educator of the Year Award is presented to a teacher who has had a special impact on students in the district. The Educator of the Year receives a $500 grant from the Harrisonville Public School Foundation for use in the classroom.

The Support Staff Employee of the Year is designed to show the district’s appreciation for its support staff employees. Any non-certified employee in the district can be nominated for this award. This includes secretaries, paraprofessionals, custodians, food service personnel, maintenance, nurses, etc.

The Outstanding Community Involvement Award recognizes a Harrisonville Schools’ staff member for their involvement in the community. The winner will receive a cash award of $100, sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.

Winners of all awards will be recognized during the district’s End-of-the-Year Celebration on Wednesday, May 7. They also will be recognized on plaques at the district’s Administrative Office and banners at their schools.

Nominations can be made online at www.harrisonvilleschools.org. Nominations for all awards are due Wednesday, March 26.
