The Ray-Pec School District announces the enrollment dates and process for its free Early Childhood program. This year there will be an Early Childhood Round-Up on Wednesday, April 2, very similar to the Kindergarten Round-Up process.
Parents interested in the free Early Childhood Program are invited to attend Round Up and sign up for the needs assessment/screening process that will be used for determining eligibility for the program. This is a new process this year aimed at eliminating the requirement of “no previous preschool experience” as part of the criteria for enrollment. The Early Childhood criteria/process for the 2014-15 school year is as follows:
Raymore-Peculiar residents who are at least 4 years old by July 31 of the upcoming school year are eligible to submit an application to participate in the Early Childhood program. Following a needs assessment/screening process, participants will be notified of their eligibility for the program. Selection criteria will include both the needs assessment and the screening results.
The purposes of Early Childhood Application Round-Up is to provide information about the program, schedule a screening for your child, collect needed paperwork, and complete a needs assessment. Please attend one of these sessions:
• 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the Raymore Elementary library
• 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the Raymore Elementary library
Because the Round-up is informational and an application process, we encourage you to leave your preschool children at home. Child care will not be available.
