Michael Iseman of Archie has been honored for his contributions to the Central College men’s basketball team this winter at the squad’s recent awards banquet.

Iseman, a 6-foot-4 junior guard who played at Archie High School, earned his first varsity letter at the college in Pella, Iowa. He played in five games and averaged .8 points and.8 rebounds a game while making one steal and one block.

Second-year coach Craig Douma piloted the Dutch to a 21-8 overall record, their 17th Iowa Conference title and league-leading 10th trip to the NCAA Division III tournament. Central advanced to the round of 32 with an 85-72 win over then No. 25-ranked St. Olaf (Minn.) before being ousted by top-ranked Wis.-Stevens Point.

The Dutch return 12 letterwinners for the 2014-15 season.
