Lucy Nadine Ash, 90, of Pleasant Hill, was born in Higginsville, the daughter of Robert and Daisy (Gunter) Sayers. She died at 3:45 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at John Knox Care Center Hospice House.

Cremation has been accorded with no services scheduled. Inurnment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Carolyn June Yoss

June 18, 1938 - April 30, 2014

Carolyn June Yoss, of Butler, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan. Funeral services were May 5 at Adrian United Methodist Church with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Prairie City.

Carolyn was born June 18, 1938, to Fred and Ada (Page) Asman in Trenton.

Kirsten M. Arndt

Nov. 28, 1959 - May 1, 2014

Kirsten M. Arndt was born in Valley City, N.D., and died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, East, in Lee’s Summit. She was the daughter of Herbert Carl and Patricia Charmayne (Kranz) Arndt.

The family received friends at a Celebration of Life Visitation May 5 at Wallace Funeral Home.

C. Lynne Clawson-Day

April 24 1952 - May 3, 2014

Cara Lynne Clawson-Day, 62, of Strasburg, was born in Harrisonville. She died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Research Hospital Vitas Hospice.

Cremation. There was a memorial service at 7 p.m. May 8 at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated. Visitation was 6 p.m. until service time.

Billy B. Hunter

Jan. 16, 1929 - May 3, 2014

Billy B. Hunter, 85, of Peculiar, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home. Funeral Services were May 7 at Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Burial was in Peculiar, Cemetery, Peculiar. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.

Billy was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Cedar County to Bert K. and Jessie May (Abbott) Hunter. He graduated high school in Bear Creek. On Oct. 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Wanda R. Brown. He retired from Leeds Chevrolet Assembly Plant. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Franklin and Dale Hunter, and two sister, Frances Hunter and Ruth Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home; one son, Gary Hunter of Peculiar; one daughter, Glenda Hill and her husband, Bob, of Garden City; two brothers, Joe Hunter and his wife, Bettie, of Bear Creek, and Max Hunter and his wife, Gaila, of Stockton; one sister, Helen Emshwiller of Fairplay; two grandchildren, Amanda Paul and her husband Clint and Ethan Hill; one great-granddaughter, Emersyn; brother-in-law, Wayne Coleman and sister-in-law Beverly Hunter.

Peggy Ann Renfrow, 72, of Adrian, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Archie United Methodist Church in Archie with visitation 10-11 a.m. Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery in Weston.

Kathaleen M. Wooton

Kathaleen Mae Wooton, 82, died Monday, May 5, 2014.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Dayton Community Church, Dayton. Burial will be in Garden City Cemetery, Garden City.

Kathaleen was born June 1, 1931.

She leaves her children, Kathy Doll, Thomas (Gayle) Wooton, Kelly (Scott) Main and James Wooton; grandchildren, Kim, Carey, Drake, Brandon, Eric, Shawn, Chase, Amanda, Lynne, TJ; great-grandchildren, Tayler, Hunter, Ashton, Adie, Averii, Brooklyn, Kai, Cody, Colton, Kelsey, Tyler and Jake.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to Dayton Community Church, Dayton.
