West Line

By Gail Lyon

• West Line Christian Church had a great turnout even though they were missing some members who were going out of town for Memorial Day weekend. The primary class made some wreaths to celebrate the holiday. They were made with a paper plate and paper stars of red, white and blue. Then there was a poem placed in the middle about Decoration Day. The lesson was “Why do we celebrate Meomorial Day?”

• I went and picked up my grandkids May 24 at their house. It was pretty rainy most of the time while they were here. They got to play outside for a while May 25. Their mom and dad came and got them Sunday to take them to see Grandpa Brown, who is in the hospital.

• Ray and Donna Barrett had a birthday party for their daughter, Larri (Sis) Nelson. She had many gifts and her niece, Logan Barrett, made her cake.

• Happy Birthday: Elijah Kirby 1st, Johnny Goddard 4th.
