Cleveland

• First Baptist Church of Cleveland will have its annual Vacation Bible School 9 a.m.-12 p.m. July 7-11. It is for kids ages 4 through sixth grade.

• Henry Green is back preaching at First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Services are at 11 a.m. Sunday.

East Lynne

• East Lynne Fire had one medical for the week. There was a board meeting June 10.

• East Lynne Assembly of God youth left June 7 for South Dakota.

• Sympathy goes out to the family of Violet Long on her passing June 4.

• We, John and Mischaele Bearce, had a packed weekend with two of our grandkids birthdays. Brezlynn Jones turned 6 June 7 with a barbecue outside with a lot of family there. Chad fixed several meats overnight on the grill and it was wonderful. Then June 8, we went to Brecken’s party to celebrate his 14th birthday. When we got there, they were putting up Samara’s jungle gym she had gotten for her birthday. Samara really enjoys her swing set.

• Happy birthday to Colton Scott, Carol Jones, Tara Dabbs, Ariston Cantrell, Brezlynn Jones, Brecken Nickel, Amy Rhodes, Jacob Cotterman, Richard Hamlin, Kevin Longacre, Gary East, Cliff Woolery and Josh Hamms.

• Happy anniversary to Cora and Dale Fall and Scott and Angie Chamberlain.

West Line

• West Line Christian Ladies Aid are having the annual Women’s Retreat 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14. They will serve breakfast and lunch.

• Sympathy from the West Line Community goes out to the Matthews family. Josephine Matthews, a life long resident, passed away last week.
