Mary Evelyn Hodges

June 2, 1928 - June 3, 2014

Mary Evelyn Hodges, 86, of Raymore, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore. Funeral services were June 6 at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian.

Mary was born June 2, 1928, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Evan N. and Ruby Vandiver (Larkin) Morgan. She grew up and went to school in Emporia, Kan., while living with her aunt. She married Arden Ralph Hodges on Jan. 12, 1967, in Archie. She was a collector for Watkins Product and Sears in Kansas City for a number of years. She had lived in Independence and Lee’s Summit before moving to Carrollton, Texas, where she worked for her brother. She also worked for Associated Finance in Dallas, Texas. She later moved to Raymore, where she lived until her death. Mary enjoyed painting with watercolors.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ruby M. Green and Clay Green and one brother, Evan S. Morgan.

She is survived by her husband, Arden, of the home and one brother-in-law, Hilton Hodges, Lee’s Summit.

Forrest Dudley Fuller

Aug. 31, 1988 - June 4, 2014

Forrest Dudley Fuller, of Raymore, was born Aug. 31, 1988, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, the son of Joseph Daniel and Gail Lorene (Hess) Fuller.

Violet L. Long

Oct. 22, 1926 - June 4, 2014

Violet L. Long, 87, of East Lynne, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

The memorial service was at 6 p.m. June 11 at Cullen Funeral Home.

Violet was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Acme, N.M., the daughter of Thomas and Irenna Stephens Cothern. She worked as a certified nurse’s aid for home health care for many years.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William H. Long; and son, Russell H. Long.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon G. Walsh (Dean); sons, Vern E. Long (Linda), Timothy R. Long and Rick W. Long; brother, Henry Dalton Cothern; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Telli Jo Atkinson (Phillips)

July 30, 1976 - June 5, 2014

Telli Jo Atkinson (Phillips), 37, of Archie, lost her battle to cancer Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Kansas City Hospice House. Telli was born July 30, 1976, in Kansas City to Ronnie and Bink Phillips. She attended grade school at Hickman Mills, later moving to Harrisonville her freshman year. She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1994.

Telli started working at Western Bag in 2000; it was purchased by Ash Grove Packaging in 2003 and she worked there as the office manager through the present. Telli enjoyed her job and made many great friendships there.

On Nov. 17, 2001, Telli married Kendall. They loved to travel, mostly going on cruises and spending time at their lake house at Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends. Telli had a great love for life and always had her camera to make sure she captured the great memories we all share. Another passion of Telli’s was her love for animals, mostly cats, including bottle-feeding and finding good homes for many strays. Telli leaves behind four spoiled cats of her own and her donkey, Floyd.

Telli was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie, in 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Kendall Atkinson; stepchildren Dakota and Cheyene; her mother, Bink Phillips; brother, Troy Phillips and wife Tracy and nieces Hailey and Hannah; father-in-law, Richard Atkinson; sister-in-law, Andrea Holthaus and husband Chris and nephews Tyler and Jacob and niece Maddie; uncle and aunt, Dale and Shirley Phillips; and her dearest friend, Shelby Darby, and many other family members and friends.

Cremation. There was a Celebration of Life visitation 5-8 p.m. June 10 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Patricia Wilson, 68, of Harrisonville, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery in Freeman. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. June 12 at the funeral home. Patricia was born May 8, 1946, in Kansas City, the daughter of Carlos Albert and A. Ethel (Sieckman) Pope. She married Darrell Wayne Wilson on May 25, 1962, in Kansas City. She worked as a service representative for Charter Cable Communications. Patricia served as chairman of the Family Support Group of the 1139 M.P. Company. She was a former member of the Sunrise Lions Club in Harrisonville.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Thomas Carl Pope, one grandchild, D. J. Wilson, and one great-grandchild, Noel Yuriel.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell, of the home; three sons, Darrell V. Wilson (Susie), Butler, Michael W. Wilson (Catherine), Holden, and John T. Wilson (Cori Jones), Kansas City; two daughters, Tricia J. Wilson (Bill Lack), Louisville, Ky., and April L. Wilson (Michael), Harrisonville; one sister, Rita Crosko (Steve), San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Lindsey, Allen, Daniel, John David, Christopher, Hannah, Patrick, Gabriel, Summer, Jacob, Kierstin, Regan and Emma Rose; and nine great-grandchildren, Angel, Tony, Joel, Katalina, Yasmine, Adaleigh, Gavin, Sadie and Kallin; other family and friends.
