Swanson receives Daniel F. Sheehan Nursing Scholarship

Cass Community Health Foundation awarded Delaney Swanson, a graduating senior from Raymore-Peculiar High School, with the Daniel F. Sheehan Nursing Scholarship. The Daniel F. Sheehan scholarship was created to honor Daniel F. Sheehan, former CEO of Belton Regional Medical Center, for his commitment to improving the health of residents of Cass County.

Swanson was involved during her time at Raymore-Peculiar High School. She was a member of Student Senate, National Honor Society, Theater, Drama Club, Students against Destructive Decisions and Scholar Bowl. Swanson will pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Degree from Truman State University beginning this fall.

Applicants for the Daniel F. Sheehan Nursing Student Scholarship must be a graduate of Belton High School, Raymore-Peculiar High School or Grandview High School and must be accepted into the nursing program at an accredited college or university.
