August 15, 2014

The community is invited to participate in the annual Catch the Spirit 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, Sept. 13. The event will benefit the Harrisonville Public School Foundation and the Christina Collins Memorial scholarship.

The event will feature a 5K, which begins and ends at Harrisonville High School. Registration for the 5K is $20 and the pre-registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 2. However, participants may register up to the day of the race for an additional $5 per person. All pre-registrants will receive a race T-shirt.

Again this year, any school district group, organization, or classroom that gets 10 or more registrants will receive a $100 mini-grant from the Foundation.

Sponsorships for the Catch the Spirit 5K Walk/Run are available. Sponsorship levels begin at $100 for a White Sponsor. Royal Blue Sponsorships are $500 and True Wildcat Sponsorships are $1,000.

Prizes and medals will be awarded the top male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female runners in four age categories.
