BSD welcomes new Volunteer Coordinator

August 22, 2014

In July, the Belton School district welcomed new Volunteer Coordinator Laura Blankenship. Blankenship worked for the district several years ago and returns with a rich background in volunteer services.

“This job seemed like the perfect fit for my family and life right now,” Blankenship said. “When I worked for the school district in the past, it was a wonderful experience and I am so happy to be working here again.”

“I love working with volunteers,” she said. “Volunteers sacrifice their own time for the benefit of someone else. It’s a privilege to be surrounded by people whose lives are focused on others. I hope to continue bringing in volunteers to the district. I plan to work closely with each school in order to provide the right fit for every volunteer.”

Blankenship resides in Belton with her husband Josh and their two boys, Lincoln and Jackson. To inquire about BSD volunteer opportunities or to welcome Blankenship to the district, email her at
