On June 2, a deputy was dispatched to the area of 32523 Nash Road outside Archie in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the female driver who was asleep in the vehicle. A computer check of her found she had a active warrant out of Bates County. Driver was arrested and transported to Bates County Jail.

On May 29, a deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of East 164th Terrace in reference to a burglary. It was reported that a male had two televisions and a bottle of pills stolen sometime since the night of May 25.

On May 30 at 0014 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 19000 block of South Pickering Road outside of Belton in response to a disorderly party. Upon arrival, the property was vacant. The reporting party arrived and reported his property had been damaged. A suspect has been identified. The matter is pending investigation.

On May 30 at 0222 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of Lakewood Terrace in Belton in reference to providing K9 assistance to the Belton Police Department who were on the scene of an attempted larceny from a vehicle. The suspect was not located.

On May 30 at approximately 1912 hours, a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance in progress in the 20000 block of South Mullen Road outside of Belton. Upon arrival, one subject was taken into custody.

On June 3 at 1621 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on northbound I-49 at North Cass Parkway on a blue 1994 Ford Ranger pickup. The male driver was arrested for an active felony warrant out of Henry County for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The female passenger was arrested for an active warrant out of Independence for failing to appear on a traffic charge.

On June 3 at 1838 hours, a deputy was dispatched to Belton Memorial Park in reference to providing K9 assistance to the Belton Police Department who were on the scene of a motor vehicle accident. K9 Champ alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics on a black, fireproof safe which was located near the scene. A large quantity of marijuana was located.

On May 31 at approximately 1357 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of East 355th Street in Creighton in reference to a report of stealing. The reporting party stated a person had taken items from her residence. A suspect has been identified.

On June 4, a deputy investigated a domestic assault that occurred in the 300 block of East Hickory Street in Drexel. The persons involved in this incident have been identified. The suspect fled the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.

On June 4, a deputy responded to the 24000 block of South State Route K in East Lynne for a report of a theft. A male stated his Yamaha ATV had been stolen.

On June 2, a deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Fourth Street in Freeman in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Justin D. Jackson who was arrested on a Clay County warrant for no IFTA License and for failure to register.

On June 4, a deputy was dispatched to assist Dolan West Dolan on an illegal burn. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with fire personnel who advised someone was burning carpet and a tire. The fire was extinguished and a male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.

On May 31, a deputy responded to the 37000 block of State Route M in Garden City for a violation of ex parte and stealing. The reporting party said that Casey Hyatt had taken property items and violated a ex parte violation order. Casey Hyatt was placed into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.

On June 4, a deputy conducted an investigation of property damage that occurred in the 32000 block of South Famuliner Road in Garden City. The victim reported a basement window broken on the residence. No suspects have been identified in this investigation.

On May 29, a deputy conducted an assault investigation that occurred in the 23000 block of South Camp Branch Road in Harrisonville. The deputy made contact with all parties and this case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

On May 30, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Malibu in the area of Plaza Drive at Vine Street in Harrisonville after the driver of the vehicle, identified as Brenda S. Thompson, failed to signal a right turn. Thompson was subsequently arrested on an active Cass County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

On May 31 at approximately 1214 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 23000 block of East 275th Street in Harrisonville in reference to a report of stealing. The reporting party stated someone had broken into his camper and stole several items. A suspect has not been identified.

On June 3 at approximately 0741 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Commercial Street and Wall Street in Harrisonville. Both occupants of the vehicle where arrested on active Cass County warrants and transported to the jail.

On June 3 at 1505 hours, a deputy conducted an investigative traffic stop in the parking lot of the Family Center in Harrisonville on a white 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. The male driver was arrested for an active Cass County warrant for environmental littering.

On June 3 at approximately 1711 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of South Zellmer Road in Harrisonville in reference to an animal call. An investigation revealed a dog was shot after attacking another subject’s animals.

On June 4, a deputy conducted an investigation of a shoplifting that occurred in the 27000 block of S.W. Outer Road in Harrisonville at Sapp Brothers Truck Stop. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a suspect in the parking lot who turned over the item. Suspect was released at the scene on issued summons.

On June 1 at approximately 1540 hours, a deputy responded to the 8000 block of Curly Lane in Lake Annette in response to a standby call for Dolan West Dolan Fire in regard to a dumpster fire. A male subject at the residence was found to have an active warrant through Cass County. Cole W. Nelson was taken in to custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.

On May 31, at 0009 minutes, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on southbound I-49 at Peculiar Way on a tan 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette van. During a consent search, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. The male driver was arrested.

On May 31 at approximately 1108, a deputy responded to the area of 215th and Jog Road in Peculiar in regard to a stolen auto and trailer with a mower. The items were recovered and returned.

On June 1 at approximately 0135 hours, a deputy responded to the area of Missouri 291, south of Missouri 58 near Peculiar in regard to a single car motor vehicle accident. The driver, Manul R. Ramirez, was arrested at the scene on an active Bates County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of pursuing, taking, possessing or disposing of wildlife illegally.

On June 2 at 1617 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Flying J in Peculiar on a tan 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette van. The male driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving while revoked.

On June 4 at 0116 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 21000 block of Westover Court in Peculiar in reference to providing K9 assistance to the Peculiar Police Department who were on the scene of a disturbance with felony property damage. K9 Champ conducted an area search for a female suspect who fled on foot. She was not located.

On May 29, a deputy conducted an investigation of a disturbance that took place in the 25000 block of East 181st Street in Pleasant Hill. On May 30, a deputy was dispatched to 203rd and Purvis in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Two male parties were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and outstanding warrants.

On May 30 at 1952 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the area of 7 Highway and Richland Parkway in Pleasant Hill in reference to providing K9 assistance to the Pleasant Hill Police Department who were on the scene of a traffic stop. K9 Champ alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle and a large amount of marijuana residue was located during a probable cause search. The male driver was cited and released.

On May 30 at approximately 0926 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of South Madison in Raymore in reference to a report of property damage. An investigation revealed multiple items were damaged and destroyed at this location. The suspect has not been identified.

On May 31 at approximately 1300 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of North Third Street in Strasburg in reference to a report of trespass not in progress. The reporting party stated someone was living in the metal shed on her vacant property. Items were observed and removed by property owner. A suspect has not been identified.
